On the night of April 26, 1986, the Reactor 4 of the Kozloduy nuclear Chernobyl was destroyed by a powerful explosion. The explosion lifted into the air, radioactive dust fellpart on territory of the USSR, leaving radiation across Europe and reaching to the shores of America.
The consequences of the accident was so severe that the government of the Soviet Union was forced take emergency evacuation in nearby cities.
The contaminated area within a radius of thirty miles from the plant was converted into a area strictly protected by the military.
After the construction of a reinforced concrete sarcophagus over the destroyed reactor, Chernobyl resumed operation. The availability of an energy sourceenergy and lack of staff resulted in the creation of a closed campus secret laboratories.
June 10, 2006. The area suddenly illuminated by a light unbearable. For some moments there was complete silence, and the clouds in thesky could be evaporating. Then came a terrible roar, theland started, and most of the soldiers guarding the perimeter were killed instantly.
